We reluctantly stayed here for a month during an extended visit to the area, because the nicer KOA in Fort Collins proper charges $650 a month, versus $495 here (plus electric). The park is pleasant enough, the pool is usually clean, and staff is nice. But, the downsides are many, including; - a horrible cow manure stench that fills the air just about every day - flies everywhere. In your rig, your food, you name it. Sitting outside is impossible most nights. And while I understand the owner can't do anything about the feedlot down the road, the things he can do things about but refuses to are many. Such as - their WiFi is a joke. The owner will tell you you'll get it at your site but it's a complete lie. I should have known this when we checked in and saw people working in the lounge with their laptops - watch out for your electric bill. We really believe we were overcharged for our month, but silly us didn't write down the meter reading when we arrived, so we couldn't substantiate our disagreement. Their laundry facilities are expensive but lousy. You'll get cleaner clothes by beating them on a rock. After our month was up we moved to the expensive but MUCH nicer KOA in town because we just couldn't stand the place any longer.

Pricey but worth it. The good points: It is the best park in the area for the cost. They've got a great pool, rec hall and workout room. Lots of grassy areas and nice people, super friendly staff. The bad points; Tree shade here WILL block your satellite connectivity. They did just hire a smart networking guy who installed a brand new Wi-Fi system which works GREAT. So skip the dish and go right for the Wi-Fi, which is free. Also, sites can be really tight, even for us, in our 24' 5er. Otherwise though, we're glad we stayed. It definitely has a resort feel, and is nice splurge.

Worst RV Park ever. First, it's practically on Hwy 289 so it's super noisy. The only overnighter sites face the highway, and it's bright out, so you better have dark curtains. We knew this going into the place, but we were desperately tired and stopped anyway. The management was less than hospitable, and cranky. When I asked her if I could write a check she looked at me with an accusatory look and said "Is it any good???" When I asked her if she had laundry facilities, she said "I got nothing! Just a place to hook up and dump. That's it." Going against our better judgment, we set up in one of the 3 overnight spots, and the electric hookup was a joke. It actually had old fuses instead of circuit breakers. We plugged into the box on our site, and there was NO power. So we plugged into the one next to us and it worked for a bit. But the next morning the outlet was sparking, arcing and crackling (we weren't even running anything except the water heater and fridge), and when my husband went to go shut off and unplug, it sparked and almost started a fire up our RV cord. Our cord prongs are smoked. The park noise and the dumpy trailers there were bad enough, but that was the last straw. I went over to management and just told her we had to leave 2 days early. I did not say why out of fear that she wouldn't give me a refund. She kindly gave me my check back, which was nice. At $20 a night, this place is no bargain if they fry your electrical system. Stay away, and bite the bullet and pay for the pricier campgrounds in the area (we went to Johnson's Corner, 20 miles south, in Loveland). Fort Collins has squat in the way of RV parks, so the best you'll get is down the highway in Loveland, or maybe the state parks, which cost just as much as the parks, so why not go for the full hookups instead? Eeek. After 2 years on the road, we've never seen anything this bad. Boondocking at Wallyworld would've been much, much better.

A cozy little park to stay at on your way to somewhere else. Sites were clean, landscaping was neat, and the owners were pleasant. The bathrooms were a little third-worldish, but other than that, it was a fine place to stop for the night.

We are here in late spring, and it's anything but quiet on the weekends. Weekdays are silent, but weekends are wild here. The best sites are the no-hookup sites at the end of the campground. We have #11 and it's the best!

This is a great park, period. Beautiful grounds, lots of gorgeous landscaping, friendly staff, super clean bathrooms and laundromat. Sites are big, and we had lots of options for satellite friendly sites. Still, there are lots of trees there that keep the place pretty. Just loved it all around. We'd stay here again in an instant. Forget the competition across the street, Jim and Mary are the best.

If you are desperate and want a bargain, I guess this place is OK. I shoulder's been suspicious when I called and the guy asked, "how old is your rig?" I said "what does that matter?" and he replies "because that will tell me what side of the park to put you in." Whatever you do, don't let them put you in a back-in site, as they are ridiculously small. We have just a 2007 24' fifth wheel, and we has SO much trouble getting in the spot. It was insane. The back in area is full of permanent residents who keep relatively clean grounds, but their rigs are old (and some permanent mobile homes too), and the grounds in this part of the park are just depressing. We had to stay in this section so we could get our satellite internet reception, which we did. But sites were so close I could hear kids in the next door trailer, and smell smoke from a smoker next door. The pull through side is OK, but you won't get any satellite reception there, too many trees. Staff was really friendly though, I'll give 'em that much. We had to get out of there though, and cut our Spokane visit short. The sites, the freeway noise, it was just too much.

This park is great! The staff is so friendly, and the sites, although the concrete pads are technically 20' wide, they do seem much larger because of grassy landscaping on either side of each site, along with, get this, privacy hedges on each side too. We got a pull through site, but even the back ins look easy enough to get into. The grounds are so well kept, there are numerous walking paths and a cute little pond, and a terrific library too. Although there are monthly renters here, it's hard to distinguish their sites from overnighters, because most of their rigs are just as shiny and well kept. For being so close to Seattle proper, this place is a great bargain, and well worth the money. We would stay here again in an instant.

Come here instead of staying in Abbeville, and you'll be glad you did. This is a teeny place to park your rig, in a large, peaceful setting far off the main highway. The owner is a wonderfully friendly guy who will tell you all you want to know about this historic Cajun region, and might even show you his crawfish farming operation if you're lucky. It's basic accommodations but quite a deal, and the scenery can't be beat.

This was a great little park we stayed at on our way to TX from Florida. The owner has put a lot of love into this place, and they have one of the best club houses we've seen. Laundry facilities are neat as a pin and inexpensive. The grounds are neat, but basic. Don't expect a resort-environment here. You make your own fun. The only downside is the sites are a little close together, but that didn't present much of a problem. Residents are super friendly and there's lots of room to roam. A great place to stay for a week or a season.

This has got to be the worst park we've ever stayed in. Believe the reviews; the spots are so tight that your neighbor has to move their vehicle if you want to set up camp. When we arrived, and our neighbor wasn't there, but his Dualie was blocking part of our space management insisted that we try to park there anyways. We tried to get them to move us, and they wouldn't. We had to sit in front of the office in our rig until the neighbor showed up. We posted a review of Paradise Island on our website, complete with a video tour so you can see for yourself what a total dump this place is. Don't waste your money, it ain't worth it.

Would just like to thank the previous reviewer for those directions. We got so lost trying to find this place we had to Walmart it (Montgomery Cross Rd.) the night before, just 6 miles away! Park is great, super pretty and mossy and lovely. Only thing wrong is roads are tight and there are no directionals on the roads. Otherwise fabulous.

This parks lives up to the good reviews. Great owners, funny sarcastic check-in woman up front, and super nice, clean seasonal residences. Only thing wrong is they need a new pool guy; the water is clean but really murky and way over chlorinated. We didn't want to swim in it. Otherwise though, a fine place to stay!

This place is a fine home base if you need to get business done in Bangor, or use it to see Acadia when the park is booked. Other than weak water pressure, we saw no problem whatsoever with this park. Yes, the pull through sites are somewhat tight, but not as bad as some KOAs we've been to. Sites are wooded, but we were still able to get a satellite signal. Grounds are clean, laundry facilities work great, staff is super friendly, and the scenery is really pretty. Sure it's not the beach Maine scenery, but it's a lovely park-like setting. We liked it a lot.

We just left the park, and I have to say it was one of the best ones on our cross country trip so far. Excellent views, lovely beach and bike path, and the office staff was excellent. Full hook up sites are fine but out in the open, while W&E sites are nicer and more wooded and rustic. Only downside was the CG doesn't have laundry facilities, but there's a new laundromat up the road. A great place to stay to see the heart of Burlington. We paid the off-season rate, a real deal!

Don't let the so-so website fool you, this park is a real gem. Located next to an Army Corps. river/dam recreation area, it used to be owned by the county, but a really nice family took it over two years ago, and they're doing a stellar job keeping it lovely, clean and green. Campsites are HUGE, and there's lots of room to roam. They offer lots of fun activities, and it's a good central point to explore Amish country PA. There are 12 seasonal campers but their sites are super clean and nice. This is the best place to stay in this part of PA. We were nicely surprised. Patronize it if you're in the area, you'll enjoy it.

This park was one of our favorites so far on our year long trip across the U.S. We're usually boondockers, but when we need to shower, do laundry, etc., we try to find places as posh as Lake Arrowhead. Not only was this resort clean and top-notch, but the facilities were some of the best we've seen (big professional washer & dryers). It was big and nice but it still felt like "real camping" because it's in the trees (but many spots still open enough to get satellite--we did). Plus, they have an ongoing FREE WEDNESDAYS program where if you stay there midweek for at least two days, you get Wednesday free! Many long-term people are there but they keep their trailers tidy and fun looking. It's a great place that we'd stop at again if we were in the area.

Super clean, nice and grassy campground. Beautiful grounds. Nice owner. Relaxing place. Great value.

This is the worst KOA we've ever stayed at. The people who own the park are obviously not investing any more money in it. The park is run down, there is NO pool, the sites are crammed, the bathrooms are stinky and the owners are so cheap they won't even buy toilet seat covers, and worst of all, if you are in a 30 amp site, you are not allowed to run your AC on their electricity. It's 103 today, and we got a knock on our door telling us to shut the AC off. "The park is so old it can't handle it" the clerk told us. Then we were told to use our generator if we wanted AC. This park is the biggest rip off EVER, and if we weren't desperate for a place to stay in the area, we would move on immediately. Avoid this place at all costs.

This "city park" campground more than met our expectations. Yes, there is freeway noise, but if you ask for the LOWER campground along the river, it's not so bad. Sites down below are much longer than ones up top. Yes, it floods here in June, so don't come then. But we practically had the whole place to ourselves in July. The space between sites is wide and grassy, and there's lots of walking trails, and shopping all within 5 minutes. A great place to stay despite the fact that the river isn't swimable and it was really hot here!

We almost stayed at Cadillac Ranch up the road, but opted to boondock instead. We weren't disappointed. AWESOME view of the canyons and along the river, you can't beat it for the price. We had no problem accessing it in our 24' 5er, but larger rigs might be tricky as there are only about 4 spots that can accommodate RVs, the rest are for cars. The only downside: it's very hot here in July, and the bugs, will come through your screens! Otherwise, fabulous place to hang out for a bit. Pump well water is available, that's it.

This place is smack in the middle of town, but the highway noise isn't too bad if you get a spot toward the rear. Dust wasn't too bad because they had gravel down. Staff was cordial. We really liked how you could walk across the street to the brewery, one block from an RV wash location, and the grocery store was bikeable too. Super convenient location to stay overnight, get some business done, swim in their pool, and split. Nothing fancy but it's location can't be beat.
